Both The Pathfinder and Martin and Gina were finalists for the Melbourne Green Room Awards.

His latest play, Talking to the Future, about Alfred Deakin and his times, is being considered for production later in 2021, and he has also written stories for the online fiction journal, Pendulum Papers. www.pendulumpapers.com

The composer of more than 60 songs, he has sung with the Victoria State Opera and the a cappella group Polyphony, on television, record and CD, and in his own concerts, and written and performed in cabaret shows such as Saturday Shuffles, A Night with Venus and The Wallabidgee Follies. He has also collaborated with guitarist Tony Burcul, in live performance and on two CDs, First Light and Martin and Gina, as well as with Peter O'Shea (violinist) and Joe Bourke on piano.

Much of his work has been generously supported by the Australia Council, Victorian Ministry for the Arts and the Myer Foundation. An occasional contributor to www.australianstage.com.au, he has also appeared for the Melbourne Writers Festival and ABC Radio National, and spoken at the Wheeler Centre, Melbourne.
